Resonating heartstrings, playing the New Year’s overture

This week, Harrow Beijing Lower School and Upper School held grand winter concerts. Students, teachers, and parents gathered together, witnessing the children’s growth over the past year and looking forward to the brand new year of 2024 in a warm festive atmosphere. 

【Winter Concert】

The winter concert is an annual highlight event at Harrow Beijing, bringing together talented performers from both Lower School and Upper School to present a comprehensive showcase spanning orchestral performances, poetry recitation, drama, dance, choir, and individual displays. Each year, this concert becomes a highlight of the school’s cultural calendar, allowing students’ artistic talents, enthusiasm, and creativity to burst forth on the stage. 

Lower School

The students from Lower School, adorned in various adorable festive costumes, seamlessly blended multiple music styles with their innocent and delightful voices. The charming and innocent performances captivated every audience member present. Piano, cello, and harp solos showcased the musical talent and achievements of the Lower school students. The culmination of the event, the lighting ceremony, elevated the festive atmosphere to its peak.

Upper School

Upper School orchestra interpreted exquisite melodies, their artistic and dynamic drama and dance performances providing the audience with a delightful audio-visual feast. LAMDA poets took us into the literary world, allowing us to feel the poetic winter moments. The choir played the confident and lively melody, setting the stage for the beginning of the New Year.

Every student participating is the protagonist of this musical event. In the enchanting notes, children experience the boundless world of art and the diversity of cultures. Students from different stages showcase their limitless potential for development.

In 2023, students at Harrow Beijing have achieved remarkable growth and progress in various fields. 

As the year comes to an end, students and teachers from both Lower School and Upper School come together to celebrate the students’ multiple achievements in academics, pastoral, competition results, exams, sports, music, and more. We have witnessed the fruits of their hard work, with outstanding academic achievements, notable performances in prestigious competitions such as the World Maths Challenge, UKSMC, AMC, and Beijing Young Musicians Competition. Beyond academics, students have excelled in various school and community activities, demonstrating their commitment to both academic and holistic development. Looking forward to the future, we anticipate that students will continue to surpass themselves and become even better individuals.
