Student Testimonial

Julia H, join Harrow Beijing at Year 2:

“I am extremely proud of achieving the top score in the world in IGCSE Mathematics, and it would not have been possible without the continual support from my teachers at Harrow. We had an extremely small class, which meant that the teacher knew every single one of us very well, including our strengths and weaknesses, as well as specific steps each of us should take to improve. With this unique guidance, everyone in the class was able to get help with areas they were weak at individually, allowing us to perform better during practice tests. Furthermore, the school provides LSAs where students can get additional support for their weak points, and teachers are more than willing to spend break and lunch times going over content with students; the level of dedication and patience from the faculty really set the groundwork for our success.”

Kelly G, Join Harrow Beijing at Year 6:

“Achieving the top score in IGCSE Mathematics has been a fulfilling experience that reflects a studying process with countless practice, but also the unwavering support I received from my teachers. From the beginning, I was drawn to mathematics as a powerful tool for problem-solving that has real-life applications in everyday situations. This motivated me to immerse myself in the subject, dedicating many hours to understanding the principles with practice using past exam papers and challenging exercises given in class. The support from my teachers was also instrumental in this journey, where being in a very small class meant we were provided valuable guidance through personalised feedback and extra help sessions if needed. We were also encouraged to ask questions and explore concepts beyond the syllabus to deepen understanding and appreciation for the subject, which provided confidence for us to be able to work towards this achievement.”

Tracey F, join Harrow Beijing at Year 6:

“In my view, my success is largely attributed to the diverse teaching resources provided by the school, such as Mathswatch assignments during my earlier schooling, Math LSAs, and the unwavering support from my math teachers, Mr. Shah in year 10 and Ms. Ma in year 9. Additionally, I have always had a deep love for math since childhood, which has significantly fueled my passion and dedication. Based on my recent experiences, I believe that consistently practicing past papers is the most effective and efficient strategy for improving your grades and achieving a level 9 in IGCSE math. Furthermore, I recommend compiling a list of challenging topics and question formats to review and practice before the final exam. I wish everyone the best of luck! As for me, I’m considering taking both Maths and Further Maths at A Level starting from year 12.”

At Harrow Beijing, students begin their two-year GCSE or IGCSE studies in Years 10 and 11. At the same time, the school offers a three-year A Level program for students who join Harrow Beijing after completing their Year 10 courses. The comprehensive and diverse subject offerings help students develop their interests and explore potential career paths for the future.
