On this warm winter day, students, teachers, and parents from Harrow Beijing’s Early Years, Lower School, and Upper School came together for a heartwarming and creative musical journey—the Winter Concert. Together, they celebrated the students’ growth and achievements over the past year and looked forward to the exciting year ahead in 2025.

The Winter Concert is one of Harrow Beijing’s most anticipated year-end events, bringing together outstanding musicians and performers from the Early Years, Lower School, and Upper School. This comprehensive showcase spans orchestral performances, poetry recitations, drama, dance, choir, LAMDA public speaking, and individual presentations. This year, the concert arrived as expected, with our talented students delivering a spectacular visual and auditory feast for parents and teachers alike.

EARLY YEARS

The festive spirit filled the air as the Early Years concert began in a warm and joyful atmosphere. Unlike previous concerts where children performed for parents and teachers, this time it was the Headmaster, Head of Early Years, teachers, and parents who sang for the children. Parents, teachers, and students gathered together to celebrate this beautiful and heartwarming winter season! The classrooms were filled with joy and laughter as the children clapped along to the rhythm of the music with excitement. The children’s adorable faces, combined with the beautiful singing of parents and teachers, brought warmth and happiness to the entire Harrow Early Years community.

LOWER SCHOOL

Each melody carries the hard work of the children; every note conveys their passion for music. In this year’s Winter Concert, the students showcased a spectacular feast of sound and vision through diverse performances, including solos, ensembles, and choir renditions. From classical music to modern pop, from festive tunes to original compositions, each program highlighted their multifaceted talents and unique expressions. To present the perfect performance, the students devoted countless hours and energy over the past weeks, from rehearsals to final run-throughs, polishing every detail to bring their best to the stage. Our dedicated music teachers poured their hearts into guiding the students, ensuring each child stepped onto the stage with confidence, ready to showcase their very best.

UPPER SCHOOL

The Winter Concert in the Upper School featured a rich and diverse repertoire, ranging from classical masterpieces to modern pop, and from traditional melodies to innovative arrangements. Every note resonated with passion and creativity. Whether it was the powerful ensemble of the orchestra, the heavenly harmonies of the choir, or the captivating individual performances, each act immersed the audience in the students’ deep love and dedication to music. Behind every stunning performance on stage was the seamless collaboration and hard work of students and teachers. The choir, orchestra, and solo performers spent countless hours in rehearsals, refining their pieces to deliver the best results. From the delicate touch of the instruments to the harmonious voices, the power of teamwork was perfectly showcased in every moment.

The stars of the Winter Concert were every student who participated, crafting each vibrant performance with their talent and hard work. Through the moving melodies, the students experienced the boundless nature of art and the richness of cultural diversity.
