Dr Megan Dixon
Megan Dixon joined the Harrow International Schools Limited Oversight Team for the AISL Harrow Schools in August 2022. She brings to the team a deep knowledge of UK Early Years and primary curricula and a wealth of school leadership, school improvement and policy experience, including working for the Education Endowment Foundation, as a MAT Executive Leader, as a Local Authority English consultant, as a Head Teacher, teacher trainer and a teacher. Distinctive is her work across the education and research fields in working with teachers and researchers on professional learning and leadership development in schools, networks of schools and local authorities at local, regional, and national levels.
She has balanced a career in schools with an academic career. Her specialist interests lie in the teaching and learning of literacy (in particular, reading comprehension), early years, special educational needs, language development and education leadership. Megan writes a monthly column for the Times Educational Supplement, regularly presents at conferences in the UK and around the world and is regularly involved in collaborative projects with researchers and academics.
