Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is central to the school’s educational provision. The pupils are provided with a tutor and are also managed within the school’s House system. As such each pupil is very much managed by a team of experts including Assistant Heads, Pastoral Leads, expert Counsellors and Safeguarding Leads.

We want our pupils to lead happy and healthy lives. As such we offer a robust PSHE programme which is regularly reviewed to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our students.

We also very much recognize the value and importance of student voice. As such we have various student bodies including the Shaftesbury Society and our whole school student council.

At the heart of our pastoral care is our unwavering commitment to pupil safety. We hold it absolutely paramount: it is the foundation of everything we do. As such all of our staff are fully trained in safeguarding to an internationally recognized standard.
